Grammage & thickness
Typical discussion range: 52–90 g/m²We review page count, portability, show-through and binding structure. Available grammages depend on the grade and production conditions.
Japanese Paper Supply
Based in Japan, FUKUSEI works with Japanese paper mills and suppliers to support overseas stationery, planner, notebook and publishing projects. We coordinate paper selection, samples, supply conditions and export requirements.

Selection Criteria
Sharing the finished-product use and required performance—not only a paper name—helps us identify more realistic options.
We review page count, portability, show-through and binding structure. Available grammages depend on the grade and production conditions.
We consider readability, ink appearance, tactile feel and how the paper supports the product’s brand direction.
Samples can be used to review feathering, bleed-through, drying time, smoothness and writing resistance.
We confirm target size, initial order, expected annual demand, destination and suitable export conditions.
Applications
For products balancing thinness, page count, writing feel and show-through, including fountain-pen and gel-ink use.
For memo pads, letter paper, refills and products where paper tone and tactile quality shape the customer experience.
For books, booklets and limited publications requiring readability, appropriate bulk and binding suitability.
When cutting, printing or binding is required, FUKUSEI can introduce and coordinate long-term partner factories in China according to the project conditions.

Writing Performance
Even at the same grammage, density, surface treatment, color, writing tool and ink flow can change the result. FUKUSEI is not a certification laboratory and does not claim to operate an in-house testing facility. We arrange samples and help organize practical evaluation points for the customer’s intended use.
Process
Use, grammage, color, size, writing tools, quantity, schedule and destination.
We communicate with Japanese mills and paper suppliers to confirm candidate grades, availability and supply conditions.
For cutting, printing or binding, we can introduce and coordinate long-term partner factories in China. These are not FUKUSEI-owned factories.
We confirm packing, export pallets, required documents and transport conditions for overseas delivery.
Supply Conditions
Production lot, inventory, mill schedule and minimum order differ by paper grade. For repeat projects, sharing annual demand and expected order timing helps us discuss a realistic supply plan with Japanese suppliers.
Buyer Checklist
A useful RFQ does not need to be perfect. The following information is usually enough for FUKUSEI to start narrowing realistic Japanese paper options and discussing supply conditions.
Explain what the paper will become, how many pages it may have and whether writing feel, thinness, opacity or printing performance is the priority.
Share target gsm, white/ivory/natural preference, sheet or roll requirement, finished size and any reference paper you already use.
List fountain pen, gel, ballpoint or marker use, plus any print process, bleed-through limits, drying-time expectations or certification requirements.
Initial quantity, expected annual volume, delivery country and target timing help us discuss production lots, supply continuity and export conditions more realistically.
